Seafood Cooking

Join Chef Craig from Block Island Seafood Company as he shows you how to make simple yet delicious seafood favorites. Learn how to make crab cakes topped with homemade guacamole over spring greens with a homemade vinaigrette and shrimp scampi over orzo pasta. You’ll receive a demonstration, full plate tasting, recipes to take home and instruction about selecting and cleaning fish. There is a non-refundable fee of $5 due at time of registration. Watercolor Painting

Mary Waka is an accomplished artist of over 30 years and she’ll be sharing that knowledge with you in this beginners watercolor painting class. In these four sessions you will learn about color theory, composition, brush and painting techniques and more. At the end of the class you will have a beautiful work of art painted by you and skill to create even more at home! You will receive a supply list of items to bring to the class when you sign up. Yoga
Mondays, May 21, June 4, 4:30-6 p.m. OR 6:15-7:45 p.m.
The 4:30 class is for those with previous yoga experience; the 6:15 class is open to all levels but is geared to beginners. Yoga is an ancient practice that brings stillness to the mind and peace to the heart. Be aware this active physical practice is not suitable for women who are pregnant or have given birth within six months or for individuals with serious medical conditions or recent surgeries. Questions, including those about special physical conditions, can be directed to the instructor, Lillian, at 286-3890 before registering. Please bring a yoga mat and two firm blankets.
